We are continuing with our Meet Our Team blog series and this week we would like to introduce Alex Wheatley. Since joining us in August 2017, in addition to her role as a Patient Care Advisor, Alex carries out staff training. Let's hear what she has to say about herself:
Hi everyone! I'm Alex, I'm 23 and I've been a Patient Care Advisor here at Aesthetic Response for over 3 1/2 years. As well as answering calls with utmost professionalism, I also carry out training. This means, when a new client joins Aesthetic Response, I train all team members on how that clinic likes to operate, diary navigation, treatment lists and so on. I also undertake this training for anyone joining AR in the Patient Care Advisor role. My training role gives me 100% job satisfaction, knowing my colleagues put their trust in me and are confident to take calls based on the level of training I've provided, that the management team trust me to deliver on our 5* standards. The trust that is placed in me really motivates me to deliver exceptional standards and to care about the small details.
The main reason why I don't consider my role here as just a 'job', is because I feel I learn something new every day. I'm always mind-blown at the wide range of treatments available, and the machines/technology used never fails to amaze me. I feel it is important to use my personal experience with treatments when talking to patients, as it often puts them at ease especially if they are new to the industry.
Like most people, I feel working from home has certainly had its challenges as I do miss the bubbly, positive atmosphere in the office. However, it makes becoming an Aesthetics Awards Finalist much more special as we've done this all whilst being at home! On a really positive note, working from home has given myself and my partner, Connor, the opportunity to rescue and adopt two beautiful kittens which has kept us busy in our spare time!
Overall, I feel extremely lucky to be apart of such a passionate team, and don't know what I would do without the constant support from my colleagues both in my role at work and through their friendship outside of this working relationship.
