CCR Expo is the biggest aesthetic industry event of the year and we had the pleasure of attending! Gilly Dickons delivered a talk about the risks of running an aesthetic business from a mobile phone and travelled down from the North for this special event with other members of AR’s management team.

In this blog, AR's Client Services Manager Michael Hall shares his thoughts about his first-time experience of this prestigious annual event...

As an enquiry handling company, it's important for us to be in constant communication with our clients across the country and a large part of my job involves talking to aesthetic practitioners at length on the phone. Attending CCR Expo was particularly good for me personally as it allowed me to put some faces to names of people I have been speaking with – especially over the last 12 months.

It was my first CCR Expo, so it was great to get a feel for how each day runs, how the agendas work, and what's on offer at the event. I really enjoyed meeting different people from various sectors of the industry and I was able to put everything that we do at AR into an even better and more accurate perspective.

There were numerous treatment demonstrations that I had the pleasure of watching, including Botox, fillers, Coolsculpting, Hydrafacial and more! Seeing these treatments performed by industry professionals was fascinating. At AR we have excellent knowledge of aesthetic treatments so that we can offer genuine and informed advice to patients, but seeing the demonstrations was a great way to refresh and build on my understanding.

Gilly's talk on the 5th of October was about the risks of running an aesthetic practice from a mobile phone and it was great to see her present to an attentive audience. In the afternoon she chaired the business side of aesthetics with some interesting questions from practitioners regarding running their practices and industry trends. Being there to see her in this role gave me great insight into her industry experience and relationships.

All in all, I consider my visit to CCR to have been a good experience and I am already looking forward to attending my next event.

Here are some pictures from the day...
